Feeling a bit left behind after Saturday’s rapture? Come hang out with the Secular Alliance! We will keep the religious extremism mood alive by watching the documentary “Jonestown: The Life and Death of People’s Temple”. This should be an interesting watch, so join us and bring anyone else who wants to join too!

Lindley Hall is located just north of Rawles Hall on the southeast corner of Dunn Woods. You can find Lindley on Google Maps here.

Well, the rapture is finally upon us! Harold Camping of Family Radio has graced us all with the knowledge that on May 21st, pious Christians will be raptured up to heaven, leaving the rest of us to party until the apocalypse on October 21st. To kick off post-rapture celebrations, the Center For Inquiry in Indianapolis is hosting satirical songwriter Roy Zimmerman’s one-man show, “Roy Zimmerman: Feeding a Starving Ear”. Admission is $15 and it’s suggested that you buy tickets ahead of time on the CFI website. The SAIU will not be attending in any official capacity, but this should be a great evening of fun. Use this event to find people to carpool or meet up with! CFI is located at 350 Canal Walk, Suite A, Indianapolis, IN 46202. You can read more and buy tickets at the CFI website.

Come join us for our bi-weekly, summer-style discussion meeting!

This week we will talk about cognitive biases: what are they, and what do they mean? We’ll have an introduction so that everyone’s up to speed, but you’re also welcome to read ahead and post links to good reads here and on the Facebook event page.
