Eddie Tabash: “Ethics Without Religion” lecture 11/19

Posted on November 11th, 2008 by SAIU

Edward Tabash will speak at IU on Nov 19.

All are welcome to a lecture by Eddie Tabash called “Ethics Without Religion: Why the Bible is an unfit basis for moral conduct.” This talk will explore the concept of morality in human beings and where our ideas of right and wrong come from, and critically examine the Bible and argue that it is an insufficient guide for acting ethically.

Where: Fine Arts room 102 on the IU Bloomington campus
When: Wed, Nov 19 at 7pm
Why: This talk promises to challenge your assumptions about the basis of morality and the source of moral truth.  It should be an interesting and enlightening lecture!

The talk will last about an hour, followed by a question and answer session.

This event is hosted by the Secular Alliance of IU, or SAIU. More info is on our home page.
